Yesterday Kristina came back from her first

follow up Doctor visit. The news is all good

she will probably get to go back to work in

about three weeks.

About an hour ago Kris came home from her first check-up

The pathology report was good, no need for chemo. She

will be going back from time to time for precautionary

follow up. The doctor removed the drain tube from her

side. She is home resting now.

Kris is continuing to improve she is feeling much better today.

She is still a little weak and needs help with a few things.

Sometime in the next week she will be going back to see the

doctor for a routine after surgery appointment.

Kristina arrived home today at 4pm hopefully for good this

time. She is feeling much better.

Kris called at 12pm she has a room assignment. She

is officially in for observation. E-mail me if you want

A minor setback

Kris was back home on Satruday afternoon. Saturday

evening she was not doing well. She went to Sherman

Hospital in Elgin Satruday night. They called the Doctor

in Chicago and he had her transported back to University

of Chicago hospital.

I spoke with Kris this morning and it looks like she will

be coming home either Friday night or Saturday

morning.

It's Wednesday the original day Kris was coming home. It looks

like the weekend will be the soonest she will be released. Mary

is going in to Chicago to stay with her today. The doctor wants to

see her system handle solid foods before she comes home.

Kristina has been dealing with a lot of pain until recently.

Today she is starting to have liquids. Her voice is better

and she can talk on the phone. We are still hoping she can

go home on Wednesday.

Mary will be spending the night with Kristina

she has a lot of pain from the surgery. I have

4:25 pm

Mary called. The surgery went excellent. Kristina is now

in recovery and will be moved into a regular room in

a few hours. I will know the room number sometime

Day of the Surgery

At 7am today Kristina and her mom Mary left

for University of Chicago hospital. They need

to be there by 10am and prepare for a 1pm

start time. The surgery will last from 1 till 3

and then recovery will be another three hours.

Mary will try to call around 7pm with the results.

I will post them when I receive them. Any questions

Update on Kristina

Kristina will be going in for surgery on July 25.

The location is the University of Chicago Medical

Center in the building Mitchell hospital

on 59th street and Ellis avenue

4 blocks west of the Museum of Science

and Industry. The surgeons name is

Dr. Mitchell Posner, his web page is
